The Chairman, Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools of Nigeria, ASUSS, Lagos State Chapter, Comrade Kareem Alabi-Labaika gave the reminder at 2020 World Teachers’ Day held at Sabo-Yaba with the theme Teachers: Leading in Crisis, Reimagining the Future.
Alhaji Alabi-Labaika who applauded unrelendted efforts of the State teachers with the help of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during the Coronavirus pandermic lockdown to make sure students are kept abreast of their studies with the use of Online facilities, maintained that the fallen standards of Education can still be rescued if all hands are on desk.
He frown at some teachers who take advantage of students sexually, morally, among others to desist or else be explled from the Nobel profession.
On his part, the Chairman, Basic Education Staff Union of Nigeria, BESUN, Lagos State Chapter, Comrade Titus Faribido congratulates Teachers across the globe as well charged them to observe and sustain the Covid19 procedures as a means to eradicate the desease totally in Nigeria as public schools resume fully.
The high point of the celebration was the awards of cheques and gifts worth #10million Naira to twenty deserving retirees from the State to say thank You for modeling the future leaders in their care well while in active service.
