The adoptive daughter of “Mr Ibu” Okafor, Jasmine Okekeagwu, has talked about her failed marriage and claimed that she was unaware that her US-based lover, MD, had been divorced once before and had three grown daughters.
After three months of dating, Jamsine and MD got married. However, nine months later, Jasmine announced the dissolution of her marriage in 2022.

Jasmine disclosed in a recent interview on the WithChude podcast that she found out on their wedding day that he was 51 years old, despite his earlier claims that he was 38.
“I was with this man for nine months I did not get pregnant. Now this is where the story got very tricky. This guy told me he had never married in his life. He has never gotten a lady pregnant. He told me he was 38 years old. The day I found out my husband was 51 years, it was on our wedding day. Imagine finding out that kind of a thing on how wedding day.”
Jasmine claimed that she discovered that MD had “promised marriage to five Nigerian girls on TikTok” when searching through his phone.
“Different people had different experiences with him. Promised about five girls marriage. Then, she continued, “I started seeing a lot of girls, most of them Yoruba, mostly big big TikTokers, when I was going through my husband’s phone.”
