Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu, the president-elect, stated on Thursday that the unity of Nigeria is non-negotiable and assured all citizens that he will treat everyone fairly.
When he opened the Magistrates’ Court Complex in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, at the request of Governor Nyesom Wike, Tinubu stated that he and Wike, a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), were promoting unity despite not belonging to the same political party.
After a two-day official visit to the oil-rich South-South state, the President-elect said on Thursday that Nigerians must be tolerant of one another.
“I will fulfil the promise I made to the people of Rivers State,” Tinubu declared. “That is what I intend to do in all policy formations coming up.”
