The Lagos State Police Commissioner, Mr Hakeem Odumosu has warned Parents, Community Leaders and Market Women to outrightly reject all suspected looted or stolen items from any Looters who wrecked havocs during the last ENDSARS protests in the State.
The Police Commissioner stated this in Ikeja while interacting with newsmen on the aftermath of the protests and matters arising from it.
He said the loots were hard earned property of innocent Nigerians and as such must not be found in anyone’s possession.
Mr Odumosu stated that, in as much as the Command keeps on receiving complaints of such criminal acts, the Police would go after anyone found culpable and their accomplices for either conspiracy or receipt of stolen items.
The Police Boss therefore urged the public particularly, the Market Women and Traders, to disown the hoodlums who looted people’s items while
re- iterating that criminal cases have no statute limitation and that such cases could still be brought up against anyone involved, years after the offence had been committed.
The State Police Boss assured Lagosians that the Police men in the State, have braced up, to discharge their duties undistracted and professionally despite the recent challenges they may have experienced in their career.
