Niger Governor Abubakar Sani -Bello has condemned the abduction of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, Dr. Ibrahim Garba Musa.
The Governor, who condemned the act as evil and inhuman, assured that the State Government would do its best to rescue the Permanent Secretary from the hands of his abductors.
The governor claimed that the permanent secretary had been kidnapped with his son in Zungeru.
SaniBello also denounced the recent attack on communities in the local government area of Munya, where several people were burned, massacred and kidnapped and houses were torched.
He said that these gave rise to the urgency of a total overhaul of the strategy of the security apparatus.
The governor argued that security officers are able to contain the situation while demanding more support and timely information from the general public.
The governor then reassured the population of his administration’s relentless efforts to combat insecurity in the state.
