Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, a former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), claims that Ahmed Tinubu, the incoming president of Nigeria, is already giving the Igbo people a preview of how they will be handled under his administration.
In January, Tinubu urged the people of the Southeast to work for his and the party’s victory at a rally in Michael Okpara Square.

Nobody will give you any credit, even though you are working hard and c
urrently perspiring, Tinubu claims. Up till you deliver the triumph, we urge you to exert good effort for this party. We won’t give you anything except a drenched slice of bread till Bola Tinubu is elected president of Nigeria.
Nwodo said that Tinubu was already giving the Igbo the promised “soaked bread” in a chat with the media on Monday.
In response to the apparent exclusion of Igbo from Tinubu’s 14-man inaugural committee, Nwodo remarked that any Nigerian president who does not make significant attempts to bring the country’s many ethnic groups together will fail miserably.
He also lamented the frequent attacks in Lagos State on Igbo, who he claimed were being punished for casting their ballots according to their conscience in the general elections.
