Veteran Nigerian singer 2Baba, also known as Innocent Ujah Idibia, has expressed disappointment that he is now only considered a “upcoming artist” due to the success of younger musicians.

The crooner known as “African Queen,” who had hinted at a possible new song release later in the year, congratulated the young artists on their accomplishments and promised to make a comeback this year.

He posted this on his Instagram page: “Mennn! These new cats are not smiling o. I don turn to upcoming artist o. Chai! “But as dem talk am, we no go gree for anybody this year. Na kitchen [studio] I dey lai dis.”
