The Department of State Services (DSS) detained Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), late Friday, just after President Bola Tinubu suspended him.
Many were not surprised by President Tinubu’s decision to remove Emefiele, since the embattled CBN governor had been extensively criticised for allegedly mismanaging the nation’s monetary policy.
