Maverick musician Charles Oputa, better known by his stage as Charly Boy, has threatened to file for divorce from his 47-year marriage in the event that Kamala Harris, the vice president of the United States, loses the next presidential election.
Recall that US Vice President Kamala Harris was endorsed by US President Joe Biden as his successor, who had officially withdrawn from the presidential race.

In a statement, Biden stated, “It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President, and while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”
In her bid to become the first female presidential candidate of colour, Harris is a former senator from the United States and the attorney general of California. Following Barack Obama, Harris would be the second Black and multiracial president and the first person of Asian origin.
In the event that Kamala Harris, whom he referred to as his “crush,” loses the election, Charly Boy threatened to divorce his wife.
“If dis my crush, Kamala Harris no win the USA presidential election, I swear, I go divorce my wife of 47yrs,” he posted in Pidgin.
“After the first Black Male President, America deserves the first Black Female President.
“Sorry rednecks. Dats how we Roll.”
