Ridwan Adebayo, a final-year history student at the University of Ibadan, was allegedly slain by armed robbers in Ibadan, the state capital of Oyo.
According to reports, the event occurred in the early hours of Sunday at Preboye Complex, just a few meters from the university’s front gate.
The deceased phone was believed to have been collected by the armed thieves before he was shot.
Efforts to save the deceased’s life were unsuccessful, as he apparently gave up on the way to the hospital.
Mr. Tunji Oladejo, Director of Communication at the University of Ibadan, confirmed the occurrence in a statement, saying the student’s body had been transferred to University College Hospital (UCH) for autopsy. InsightnaijaTV report.
According to Oladejo, the student was killed in front of a commercial bank, and the crime was reported to the Bodiji Police Division.
