Members of APC faction in Osun state backed by the Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola, on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 stormed headquarters of Osun State Police Command in Osogbo, protesting alleged bias of the operatives against the group.
The protesters led by Rasaq Salinsile, the chairman of Aregbesola’s faction, carried placards with different inscriptions.
They accused the Commissioner of Police, Wale Olokode, of supporting the governor, Adegboyeg Oyetola.
They also requested that the CP should be replaced.
Aregbesola had accused the formal Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu and a former APC interim chairman and ex-governor of Osun State, Bisi Akande, of foisting the current governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola, on the people, against popular will.
Aregbesola, who leads an APC faction in the state and who had been engaged in a feud with his successor, Oyetola, accused the incumbent governor of not consolidating on his eight-year achievements.
