At the State House on Thursday, President Bola Tinubu met in private with Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the 14th Emir of Kano and former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The President and Sanusi are meeting for the first time since the President took office.

Sanusi was the CBN Governor from June 2009 to June 2014, when Emefiele succeeded him. This meeting takes place just one week after the President suspended Godwin Emefiele.
As of the time of publication, the meeting’s agenda was unknown.
