On Wednesday at around 2 p.m., some police officers posted near the Lagos State House of Assembly, Alausa, Ikeja, violently beat an unnamed lady.
An witness claims that three police officers mercilessly beat the helpless, dark-skinned lady while stripping her of her clothing and accusing her of being a member of a cult. They reportedly used sticks, a belt, punches, and slaps in their beating.

“Despite her screams that she was innocent and only came to the area to relax and was not guilty of anything, the policemen dragged her on the floor, removed her footwear, handcuffed and drove away,” the eyewitness, who spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of victimisation, said.
