An independent probe into the allegedly falsified UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) results of candidate Ejikeme Mmesoma has been requested by former education minister Oby Ezekwesili.
The board declared Mmesoma’s 362 UTME result to be false and disclosed that her original score was 249 and that her score was intentionally inflated after Miss Ejikeme was accused of indulging in criminal activity. According to JAMB, Mmesoma’s UTME results were also immediately revoked.
The student, however, protested in a video, claiming that she has always been a clever girl and that she is unable to fudge her scores.
Ezekwesili noted that she has already contacted Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the JAMB Registrar.

“This saga between Mmesoma Ejikeme and @JAMBHQ requires an Independent Tech investigation to unearth all facts. Listening to her in this video, it is reasonable to request a forensic investigation to help reveal what really happened. I have reached out to the Registrar of JAMB,” she tweeted.
Ejikeme is seen exhibiting a result sheet in a viral video while stating that it has her aggregate score of 362, which was printed from the JAMB portal.
“I am the owner of this result. I went to the JAMB portal to print this result and this is what they gave me, this is the result here. So, this is my aggregate; 362, this is exactly how I printed it. Saying that I forged my result is what I don’t know and I am traumatized that they accused me of forging my own results because I am not capable of this.”
“They scanned the QR code and said it showed another name (JAMB Score Controversy: JAMB, Mmesoma Disagree Over Result 138) and that same person that got 138, they checked again the person got 338, meaning that there is a problem somewhere,” she said.
