Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), has explained why he attended the Dunamis International Gospel Center on Friday.
Obi said he went to Dunamis church to worship and give thanks to God.
While posting pictures of himself at the church’s Mid-Year praise and worship night, he revealed this.
Remember how churchgoers gave the former governor of Anambra State a thunderous standing ovation when they saw him?
Enenche had summoned the political figures to the altar during the service and requested that they speak a few words on behalf of Nigeria.
Obi, the wife of the PDP’s presidential running mate, had been invited by the senior pastor of the church, Paul Enenche. Edith Ifeanyi Okowa, Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom State, and other national political figures.
However, Obi in a tweet wrote: “I spent an uplifting and exhilarating 8 hours of fellowship amongst fellow Nigerians @DunamisGospel 2022 Mid Year Praise and Worship, with @DrPaulEnenche, his family and other dignitaries.
“I used that auspicious occasion to thank God.”
Recalling his prayer, Obi wrote: “God we have no other nation but Nigeria. Please deliver us. Please save us. Nigeria must not go down. Let your light shine upon this nation.” God is Good! -PO”
