It has been declared that Rasheed Kashamu, the winner of the House of Assembly election in Ijebu North Constituency 1, is the son of the late Senator Buruji Kashamu.
Kashamu, who holds a master’s degree in international finance and investment from the University of Surrey and a bachelor’s degree in international business and management from Brunel University in London, garnered 10, 004 votes to defeat Hon. Sylvester ‘Niyi Abiodun, a sitting member of the Ogun State House of Assembly and a member of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).

The younger Kashamu, who would be 26 years old, will be the second-youngest House of Assembly member in this administration both nationally and in Ogun state.
