As part of plans to celebrate Nigeria independence at 60, a Non Governmental Organization, NGO, which comprises of young, vibrant and professional, in Badagry, under the auspices of Badagry Forum, NBF, is set to sponsor 60 youths on Digital Training free of charge.
Speaking at a news briefing in Badagry to highlight the forum’s activities to celebrate Nigeria at 60, the Forum’s Chairman, Prince Olu Kosoko, said the train youths on Digital which will equip them to techno-preneurs and in turn create jobs for other youths, will be launched tomorrow at Dooke’s Innovation Centre.
Prince Kosoko said the training which is expected to last for 3 weeks for youths between the ages of 15 to 30 years, is meant to equip them with present happenings and reality as the world has gone digital.
Contributing, member of the Forum and Executive Director, Dooke Innovation Centre and Digital Training, Mr. David Oke Opeyemi said, the project will serve as platform to stimulate the interest and passion of teenagers and youths in the emerging STEM-based and ICT-driven economy.
Mr.Oke explained that the top 10 participants, which will be measured by their commitment during the training period, will be given the opportunity to intern for 3-months in reputable organisations.
The high point of the meeting was distribution of Souvenirs by Prince Kosoko to NBF members which were donated by his partners in United Kingdom.
